Wet rooms

What is a Wet room?

A wetroom is a room which has been tanked (waterproofed) and is usually equipped with a shower.
A drain inset is placed into the floor, which replaces the conventional plastic shower tray. This allows the room itself to become the shower enclosure.

Do I have room for a wet room?

If you have room for a bath, we can simply remove your bath and fit a shower. This will create much more space.

What are the benefits of a Wet room?

A wet room is all one level, which can help prevent slips and trips as you are not required to step out or over anything. Removing a bath or shower cubicle can allow your room to feel much more spacious. Wet rooms in general are easier to clean, with no tray to worry about you can wash down floors and walls with ease.

What do I need to consider in planning a wet room?

You will need to take into consideration, size, space, drainage and your requirements.

How long will it take to Install?

This will depend on the size and features involved in the design of your wet room. A standard Wet room can take between 5 to 10 days, depending on the work required.

I have a very small en suite, is it too small for a wet room?

We can adapt most rooms into a Wet room if the dimensions allow. If you room size falls belows 1.5m squared please contact us for further information. We may be able to offer alternative solutions.

What's the difference between a Wet room and a Shower room?

A Wet room is level with the existing floor and a Shower room has a tray fitted.

Is my Wet room completely water proof?

Yes. If you wish for the floor to be tiled or to have non slip flooring applied then we will install a water proof tanking system as part of the installation.

Can I install underfloor heating to my Wet room/Shower room?

In most circumstances electric underfloor heatings can be installed as an optional extra. We advise you to contact us for further information regarding your individual requirements.
